Today Labelkollektiv Distribution had a final sale before moving all of the stock to Copenhagen. Some friends stopped by a did a bit of Friday afternoon shopping, drank a cup of coffee and had a piece of cake. I have been involved with Labelkollektiv for a couple of years, working in the distribution part of the project, so I’m of course a bit sad and will miss the good times distributing music and talking on the phone to record shop owners. I’m however happy that nice Copenhageners will take the project further and nurture it to grow even bigger.

Last night the TOTEM 9000 project was finally launched! This first event took place at 1000Fryd with Lars and Mads from the Student House in the spotlight. The picture above is of the two hosts, a guy from the local student radio and Kristian of nitusind.nu.

TOTEM 9000 is a monthly event starting out this December at 1000Fryd in Aalborg. Chiefs of selected cultural venues will travel to unknown territory (other venues) in Aalborg and initiate a debate about the development of cultural life in Aalborg. At this first event, Mads Mulvad and Lars Hellerup from the Student House will travel to 1000Fryd and partake in a night of interviews and debate about the current status and future of alternative culture in Aalborg.

In 2011, TOTEM 9000 will travel – with new chiefs leading the way every time – between venues in town. I participate as a part of nitusind.nu and by helping out with “chief photo shoots” for coming events. Not long ago I posted a photo of Mads and Lars, and various photos from that day (and the many to come) will be used for creative press material for the TOTEM 9000 events.
