Not the best of photos, but I wanted to show off the backdrop visuals I’ve made for the Klub Husfred concerts. Well, I got to be honest, the video was quickly made from various old American documentaries and commercials from the 1920s and 30s. For Klub Husfred I wanted to make something that could last for a long time (3-4 hours) without just looping some kind of sequence over and over. I came up with this vintage video material idea, as I think they supplement Klub Husfred mood and theme pretty well.

I’ve just finished working on a couple of Pecha Kucha Night promotional videos for the reoccurring Pecha Kucha events in Aalborg. I initially set out to make one for the upcoming night in April, but once I finished all my preparations, I figured I might as well create a more universal one to be used as an intro to the individual Pecha Kucha presentation videos.

My approach was fairly low-tech. I knew I wanted to work with big letters and a stop-motion effect, so I cut out bunch of letters and started shooting a lot of photos. I imported all the photos into Premiere Pro and used this guide to create my animation. The audio track on the two videos is from an unofficial Mikael Simpson production called ‘jagtvej69′, which I have slowed down to two different speeds.
