Photography

My approach to photography has been very autodidact and I try to constantly improve, explore and expand my skills through the use of my camera. I started shooting with DSLR cameras back in 2008, and I use Flickr to display most of my work, so feel free to have a look.

In May 2011, I published a book together with Transformator. I used the services of Blurp to create the book and I’m happy to say that I’ve no more copies left of the 100 books I ordered. It’s a 40-page square (18×18 cm) format book with photos from the first years of Transformator action. This set contains a lot of the photos used in the book and the outcome by far exceeded my expectations towards getting my photos out on print.

I use Flickr as my main publishing platform because I love the fact that I’m not only displaying and sharing my creative work, but also allowing others to easily use it or comment on it if they want to. I arrange most of my photos in sets, so it’s easier to keep track of the different types of shoots I do.

In 2008, I started publishing my work through the culture-related organisation nitusind.nu in Aalborg. I have been shooting photos and doing reviews of a lot of different stuff taking place in and around the city. I’ve also contributed with a lot of photos to the local theatre Transformator (a part of Aalborg Theatre, mixing theatre with almost anything else), their newsletters, website and various printed material.

Working as a freelance photographer is very exciting. I love getting a job that takes me out of the situations I’m used to and inspire me to seek new solutions to capture the right image.
