So the story goes: Njal proposed to Elin at a Band of Horses show in Oslo earlier this year. When the Bride and Groom heard that Band of Horses was to play at a festival in Tromsø on the same day of their wedding, they contacted the band and told them their story. With all the coincidences surrounding the wedding, the band decided to surprise the couple. Having not heard from the band at all and accepted that the opportunity passed, Band of Horses showed up minutes after landing in Tromsø to play Marry Song at the ceremony.

I saw Band of Horses at Roskilde Festival a couple of years ago, and their performance left me with the impression that these guys genuinely enjoy making other people happy with their music. And just when you thought they couldn’t get any cooler, they pull this stunt.
