On Friday night, I shot some photos at the Birdy Nam Nam DJ set + F.U.K.T. live set at Studenterhuset. You can see the outcome over at nitusind.nu (where you can also read a small review) and at my Flickr photostream.

It’s been quite a weekend at Studenterhuset for Scandinavian rock music and I have had the pleasure of covering a lot of it for nitusind.nu! On Thursday night, I had the pleasure of attending a presentation of the history of Danish electronic music by a couple of very guys. It was related to the release of “Pioneers – The Beginning of Danish Electronic Music”, which I wrote a blog post on a couple of weeks ago. Afterwards, I attended a concert with Swedish Dungen and the Copenhagen rockers in The Setting Son – they made it quite a night! On Friday I was back in business once again, covering a concert with Danish rock darling Sune Wagner. You can read my review of the concert here and see some photos here and also at my Flickr site.

At another personal level, my weekend has booked by sweet little Charlie – the newest addition to the family. A cute little fella that likes snoop around our apartment and pee all over the place. He’s very well behaving even though he’s only two months old. In about a week and a half, Sara’s leaving for a stay at University of Oregon, so for a couple of months it’ll be only him and me – I’m quite excited about how that’ll turn out :) I’ll make sure to keep you posted on his life! For the these past couple of first days, his days have consisted of a lot of sleeping. He’s probably tired from all the new impressions and smells in his new environment…

Not that it’s something I like to do or do on purpose, but this Thursday I’ll unfortunately miss out on AaB’s first leg in the UEFA Cup against Manchester City.

Fortunately, I’ll be spending the night at Studenterhuset – first enjoying a presentation of the Pioneers album, which I wrote about recently and afterwards covering a concert with the groovy Swedish dudes, Dungen, in both words and pictures.

If you’re in the neighbourhood, stop by and join me in ignoring the fact that I/you/we might miss a sensational victory or the end of a tremendous European adventure by the local heroes.

On the behalf of Labelkollektiv Distribution and LJUD, I’ll be bringing a fresh box of Pioneers records and selling them during the night!

I was at the local Student House for a concert with the two American rock’n'roll bands Nashville Pussy and Supersuckers this Thursday night. A small review (in Danish, unfortunately) came out of that crazy experience. Unfortunately, SLR cameras were (stupidly) not allowed, which is why I don’t have any pictures attached to this post. I’ll promise to be back with some photos on Saturday when RJD2 (support by Den Sorte Skole) has played at the exact same Student House. Looking very much forward to that concert! Last time Den Sorte Skole played at the Student House, the café was packed, so RJD2+Den Sorte Skole will surely prove to be a deadly combo for Aalborg this weekend!
